I’ve often fielded questions regarding my prodigious reading capacity – “When on earth do you find the time?”
Well, the short answer is, I’m always reading, learning, and analyzing, but like other folks, I really catch up on the weekends.
I’ve seen this format featured on other blogs, where the blogger presents a “best of” approach of posts from the previous week, and I figured it couldn’t hurt to share some knowledge.
- Dr. Michael Eades posted an incredible article today on Obesity in Ancient Egyptians that should be an eye-opener for anyone who still thinks that a low-fat, high carbohydrate diet is the way to go for optimum health (like Drs. Furhman, Campbell, Pritikin, etc). It’s a must-read.
- For the MMA/BJJ guys and gals out there, I found How To Make an El Jefe Grappling Dummy pretty awesome.
- The Swedish say, “Exercise makes you smarter.”
- I wish all the people I’ve talked to over the years who said to me, “I want to be super healthy – train me to run a marathon” had read this post (and its corresponding link) by Art DeVany. Too much exercise causes oxidative damage (sends those free radicals bouncing all over the place).
