How do you exercise if you “don’t have the time?”
(Cliche alert)
Simple – you make time for it. Schedule out a chunk of time in your PDA or planner; make it as important as a business call or meeting. It’s important to treat your exercise time as a priority in your own mind, otherwise you’ll find that other things will easily slip in to occupy that time.
Here’s a real life example:
I couldn’t have taken my trip to China at a worse time, as far as pre-tournament preparation is concerned (jet lagging yourself 13 hours the week before an event is generally not recommended for best athletic performance). While in China, however, I managed to get a little training in so I wouldn’t lose the momentum.
Funny thing is, I don’t even like unilateral exercises. But (jokes aside) you must do what you can with what you’ve got.
Do you make exercise (and by “exercise” I mean “strength training”) a priority in your life, even if you aren’t training for an event? You don’t need to make excuses, you know – you can even get a reasonably effective workout with just bodyweight.
Look at it this way: No matter how busy and hectic your life gets, you still manage find the time to brush your teeth and take a shower each day.
Make exercise and eating right a must in your life. Health and vitality – accept no substitutes!

Wonderful advice. You are right about making it a routine. If we manage to squeeze in our favorite tv show in our busy lives, we surely have time to exercise.
I agree. Excuses are just obstacles that we need to overcome. Scheduling those exercises is a great idea.
