As a high school coach I am glad the fitness industry is trying to go the root of the source and teach young athletes how to exercise properly. My first experience in a weight room at the age of 13 resulted in a string of injuries due to lack of knowledge on my part and improper instrucion from a History teacher trying to pick up a few extra bucks as a coach. I am excited PT Certification Institutions have taken more intrest in younger athletes, I am sure much of the interest is financial. I try to be optimistic of the knowledge one will gain from this certification But, I can not help to recall the many fine recipients of such on-line certifications and the havoc they have reaked on the bodies of their unsuspecting clients.
